Phil is a musician and performer who hails originally from Lancashire, England and now lives in the beautiful Coromandel in New Zealand.
A  singer, guitarist and songwriter his solo concerts are intimate, creative and entertaining. Each performance is tailored to suit his audience and features uniquely-arranged songs, expressive vocals and great guitar work ….. all woven together with a generous dose of Northern English banter.

His ability to infuse English and New Zealand folk-roots songs with blues, jazz and other musical influences creates a musical potpourri that appeals to any audiences. His own compositions range from the moving “Song For Jackie” that has become renowned among the coal mining folk of North-East England to the frivolous and funny such as “Don’t Blame Me” and “Lactose Intolerance Blues”.

From 2008 to 2013 Phil toured the UK during the Northern summers and took his one-man performances from Lairg (at the very top of Scotland) to Nelson (at the very top of New Zealand’s South island) and over 200 gigs in between, leaving delighted and contented audiences wanting ‘more’ and a guaranteed return booking in his pocket.

Phil is available now for bookings throughout New Zealand for the remainder of 2016.
